About Biztricks

Built for the firm that quotes with a tape measure

Biztricks is made by Vedatricks. It exists because the software an Indian interiors or materials firm can actually afford is either a spreadsheet or an accounting package built for a different country's paperwork.

Why we built it

Because the same three failures show up in every firm of this size, and none of them is a failure of effort.

The quote is in a spreadsheet. It works, until the person who built the formulas is on site and somebody else has to raise a quote. Then a wardrobe gets quoted at six feet instead of seven, and nobody finds out until handover.

The agreement is in someone's head. A builder agrees a rate in January. In July the fortieth flat is quoted by whoever is free, at list price, and the conversation that follows costs more than the margin did.

The document is a screenshot. A customer being asked for three lakh rupees receives a photograph of a table in a chat. It is not that the firm cannot write a proposal — it is that writing one properly takes an evening, every time.

Biztricks is one answer to all three: measure it once, agree the rate once, and let the document fall out of the work rather than being assembled after it.

How we decide what goes in

Three rules, and they are the reason this site can describe the product plainly.

  • If it is not built, it is not on this website. There is no roadmap page here and no feature described in the future tense.
  • Where the answer is no, we say no. Every feature page carries a list of what that part of Biztricks does not do. It is a shorter conversation now than in your second week.
  • A default is a decision. Your trade's items, payment schedule and terms arrive written, because a blank workspace is a workspace nobody finishes setting up.

Where Biztricks came from

It was built against a real firm's work — a modular interiors business doing residential flats and small commercial fit-outs — and every default in the interiors pack, down to the five-fifty-forty-five payment schedule, is that firm's own practice rather than an invention. The trading and services packs followed, because the same firm's suppliers and consultants had the same three problems in a different vocabulary.

Today Biztricks ships three industry packs: interior and modular fit-out, building materials trading, design and site services. That is all of them. When there is a fourth, it will be because a firm in that trade told us what their defaults are.

Plainly

What Biztricks is not

In India these are the claims a buyer checks first, so here they are in one place. Biztricks does none of the following, and no page on this site says it does.

  • No offline use
  • No storage quotas
  • No e-invoicing / IRN
  • No e-way bills
  • No GSTR filing
  • No accounting ledgers
  • No inventory
  • No payroll
  • No bank reconciliation

Biztricks produces quotations, proposals, GST tax invoices and payment records, and reports on them. Anything past that boundary belongs to your CA, and we would rather you kept a good one.
