Item list and partner pricing
Your rates in one place, and your deals honoured automatically
Every item you sell, with its measurement mode, its rate, its unit and its HSN. On top of that, the prices you agreed with each builder or developer — applied to every client they refer, without anyone having to remember.
What is the item list?
It is the single place your firm's prices live. Each item carries a name, a measurement mode, a rate, a unit label, a GST rate and an HSN or SAC code — so picking it on a quote brings all of that with it.
The screen is called the Item List, and it arrives seeded for your trade. A materials dealer's list starts like this:
| Item | Mode | Rate | HSN |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plywood 18mm (BWR) | unit | ₹2,850 / sheet | 4412 |
| Plywood 12mm (MR) | unit | ₹1,950 / sheet | 4412 |
| Laminate 1mm | unit | ₹1,450 / sheet | 4823 |
| Edge Band (per roll) | unit | ₹850 / roll | 3920 |
| Hardware — Hinge (soft close) | unit | ₹180 / nos | 8302 |
| Delivery Charge | unit | ₹500 / trip | 9965 |
Seeded rates are starting points, not market prices. Every one of them is yours to change on the first day.
How does partner pricing work?
You record a partner once, set the rates you agreed with them, and every client they refer quotes at those rates.
This is the shape of the relationship the trade actually has. A builder does not send you one job — they send you flat after flat, and the price was agreed once, at the start, for all of them. Storing that against the partner rather than against each job means the fortieth flat is priced the same as the first, by whoever happens to raise the quote.
Partner prices can be set item by item, or in one move as a blanket deal off your list price. Either way what gets stored is a real rate you can read.
Who in my firm can see my prices?
Only the people you give the Item List to. It is not on by default for staff.
A new team member starts with leads, clients and quotes — the pipeline, not the money. The item list is what your firm charges, and that, along with invoices and reports, is opt-in per person. Cost prices and margins can additionally be blurred on screen so a customer looking over a shoulder on site does not read them.
What Biztricks does not do
- No stock or inventory. The item list is a price list, not a store ledger.
- No supplier or purchase-order side — Biztricks prices what you sell, not what you buy.
- No automatic market-rate updates. Plywood rates move; you move them.
Questions
Questions about pricing
What is a project in Biztricks?
A project is the builder, developer or property partner who sends you work — not a folder for one job. It holds the rates you agreed with that partner, and those rates apply to every client that partner refers. One agreement, entered once, honoured on every quote that comes through them.
Can I give a partner a flat percentage off?
Yes — and Biztricks converts it into real prices instead of storing a percentage. Applying "12% off list" writes an actual rate against each item. That is deliberate: a percentage composed with slab pricing cannot be displayed honestly, and a partner asking "what is my rate on 18mm ply?" deserves a number, not a formula.
What happens if I quote a partner client at the wrong price?
Biztricks offers you the partner's price; it never swaps it in behind your back. Add a line at your general rate for a client who sits under a partner and you get a one-tap prompt with the agreed figure. Take it or ignore it — either way you saw it, and either way the quote says what you meant it to say.
Can I add an item while I am in the middle of a quote?
Yes — type it straight into the quote. You are never sent away to "set up masters first" while a customer is standing in front of you. If the line turns out to be something you sell regularly, one action promotes it into your item list with its measurement mode and rate intact.

Dimensional quoting
Type the height and width. Biztricks turns them into square feet, running feet or cubic feet and prices the line.
Customer proposals
A quote goes out as a proper multi-page document with scope, materials, room-by-room pricing, payment schedule and terms.
GST invoicing
CGST/SGST or IGST decided by place of supply, HSN and SAC on the line, rounding that matches what an inspector computes by hand.
